He's Gone Coastal
monallo
he used to have a wife and a family
worked some boring job at an old factory
he lived his life surrounded by land
always dreamed he’d bury his troubles deep in the sand
Then one night he left it all behind
he hopped in his car and he went for a drive
watched the sunrise off the Carolina coast
and he knew that he'd seen his dreams start to float
he's gone coastal
he's gone coastal
he's gone coastal
yea you never know where youre gonna find him next
made his way down to the Florida Keys
he was slinging rum in a little bar off of Duval St.
Too many tourists so he had to go
so he sold that minivan and he bought himself a boat
sailed it up to Tampa Bay
beach bars in the summertime and he got on his way
he set out to sail the gulf
he don't need no compass he'll just follow the coast
he's gone coastal
he's gone coastal
he's gone coastal
yea you never know where youre gonna find him next
he's been to Gulf Shores Galveston and New Orleans
Pascagoula Sarasota and Corpus Christi
they say he's run aground
on some uncharted isle
with a bottle of rum
and a big ol smile
he's gone coastal
he's gone coastal
he's gone coastal
yea you never know where youre gonna find him next
